It is the leading festival is detained apiece year happening taking place the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to the wonder of the Santo Niño, the child Jesus, it used toward exist the patron saint of the intact Province of Cebu.

Sinulog word is came from the word "sulog" a Cebuano adverb term which means "like water current movement", because  describes the forward-backward movement of the Sinulog dance in Cebu.
